Today for Cocktail Week DAY 4 I’m showing you how to make a classic white Russian cocktail! This is one of the first cocktails that I EVER tried and was instantly hooked (probably has something to do with the sweetness factor) I’m excited for you to give this one a try!

I typically like to post more creative and fun cocktails but figured that there was value in really focusing on some of the tried and true classics such as a good ole White Russian!

One of the best things about this cocktail is that it requires ZERO prep work ZERO shaking or muddling and comes together with THREE simple ingredients.

White Russian Ingredients:

One of the things that I love about this cocktail is that it’s just THREE super simple ingredients:

  1. Vodka
  2. Kahlua
  3. Cream (see note below for some dairy free options)

How to make a VEGAN White Russian:

I know that a lot of you are going to be curious how I’ve made this cocktail vegan. Traditionally, a white Russian is made with heavy creamy or half and half.

My suggestion for make this dairy free is to simply use a vegan heavy cream or plain creamer. I’ve tried this once with a can of coconut cream and it turned out nice but did have a very distinct coconut flavor.

You could also use almond or oat milk etc but those are significantly thinner and won’t have quite the same creaminess of a traditional White Russian.

How to make a White Russian

How to make the classic White Russian!

Ingredients 

  • 2 ounces of vodka
  • 1 ounce of Kahlúa
  • 1 good splash of cream, about 1 tablespoon*

Instructions 

  • In a small glass filled with ice, stir together the vodka and Kahlúa until well combined.
  • Splash on the cream to the top of the cocktail and ENJOY!
