This is an OLD recipe of mine but I still really love it. In fact, it’s actually one of the very first recipes I ever shared on my blog ALL the way back in 2012. I still can’t believe that I’ve had my blog that long!
I decided to give it a little refresh though because it’s absolutely delicious and something we make semi-regularly!
Why You’ll Love This Recipe
- Creamy & DELICIOUS: You’d never guess it’s made with avocado and banana! The chocolate flavor dominates which I absolutely love.
- Quick & Easy: Just toss everything in a food processor and blend. It’s best if you let it sit for half an hour but it CAN be eaten right away.
- Healthy Ingredients: This pudding is sweetened natural and is made with simple wholesome ingredients!
- Versatile: Easily customizable with your favorite toppings or mix-ins!
Ingredients you’ll need
- Ripe avocado: The STAR of the recipe that adds a creamy texture and healthy fats.
- Ripe banana: Natural sweetness and EXTRA delicious creaminess!
- Honey: Swap with maple syrup for a vegan version. Or you could even leave it out all together as desired.
- Milk: Add more if you prefer a thinner consistency. I usually use almond milk or oat milk but really any milk would work well.
- Cocoa powder: This is how we get the nice chocolatey flavor.
- Vanilla extract: Enhances the chocolate flavor. Almond extract would also be nice!
